Poems were composed by Isou, cover and aquatints were made by DuPont with the exception of one aquatint done by Tasiv. The first 10 copies of this book contain a duplicate set of prints on Japon paper. Two of the prints are portraits of DuPont's two daughters formed from dense accumulation of letters, numbers, and hieroglyphic elements. Each stylized playing card depicts a photographic portrait of a lettrist artist with varied lettrist symbols and/or calligraphic styles that are printed directly on the photograph. These are associated with the visual works of the specific artists. Some markings are also directly painted onto the photographs.
